ELEMENTS Band Launch

Well seeing that this is a Carnival blog and not just a Tribe blog (although Tribe has recently been in focus) I must remind all interested parties that Elements will be having their full band launching on Friday 8th August at Pier 1 for there 2K9 presentation' Casino Royale'. Their admission price is $200 while stocks last and then $250. They are promising PREMIUM free drinks like Johnny Walker Black, Grey Goose,Patron Tequila. Gates open at 9:30pm and they are aiming to have a limited more intimate attendance of 2500 people.

Now regardless of your band persuasion this sounds like a best deal!!! $200 premium drinks??I have already decided to stick with what I know in Tribe and was not planning to go to Elements launch since I have already seen most of the costumes (on paper) but this might just make me reconsider! I really hope is free Johnny WHOLE night and not just in certain promotional periods. No wonder that they would have to limit their patronage otherwise that might break their pockets! I would really love to have a chat with Elements' Marketing guru because I have having a hard time understanding their whole marketing plan. They have had a total of four 'launches' or 'costume viewing' to date that I know of. I believe the fourth one was scheduled for last week although I am uncertain if it ever came off because I have yet to find someone who attended. Many people I have spoken too are also confused as to their purpose of having all these 'showings' prior to their official launch event. I have already given my two cents on the matter in my prior post and I still believe it reflected poorly on their image overall. For a new band with VERY experienced members they came across very novice-like. I really believe that their launch on Friday needs to be flawless if they are to succeed next year. If they slip, they slide. If that party is not as promised and those costumes are mediocre then they will be in trouble. Any one who is in the entertainment industry can tell you, friends can pledge allegiance and support but at the end of the day is who spends their money that counts!! I hope all the people who promised to play with them are true to their word and don't bail like ppl are rumoured to be doing.

I do think its good to have healthy competition between bands. I for one will be glad if the size of Tribe is reduced to a more manageable affair. All indications from management in Tribe is that they are laying down the law in terms of section numbers and that sections will not be 'opened up' as in previous years. Some ppl will be forced to find an alternative, TLC card or not! We will see if Elements will be able to pull Tribe die hards and be the number one new band on the streets. Only Friday will tell....

Hi morning, I was really trying to be nice on Elements behalf. I also got that same email on FB but I got another email yesterday to my personal account saying that a committee member still had $200 tickets!! So what I coulda, shoulda said is that their marketing is not very well coordinated if some still saying they have and others saying it done. I know promotors usualy have a cutoff point where they pull back cheaper tickets and increase the price, whether they are really sold out in the cheaper ones or not or not. So either the memo was not circulated that they should stop selling $200 tickets or my friend was just making sure her ppls were straight.

oh and promoters also do that when tickets are not selling to give ppl the impression that they are flying off the shelves and the first run of tickets done.I hope for their sake that is not the case here. I wanted to let ppl know thats what the price started at.
